E-Kitap Nedir?
E-kitap, geleneksel kitap ile kıyaslandığında hem yazara, hem yayıncıya, hem de kullanıcıya, geleneksel kitabın sunamadığı büyük artılar sunan bir yayın türüdür. Elektronik ortamın sağladığı olanaklar sayesinde, konular, yazı yanında, ses, müzik ve görüntü ile desteklenebilir. Kitap içinde yapılan arama işlemleri daha kolaydır. Vurgulanmak istenen bölümler, görsel pırıltılarla süslenerek vurgulanabilir. Hatta bilgisayar oyunu gibi, kullanıcı tarafından yönlendirilebilir. Ancak her e-kitap bu yapıda değildir.
E-kitabın en büyük eksisi ise yalnız bilgisayar, avuç içi bilgisayar gibi elektronik bir ortamda kullanılabilmesidir. Ancak istenirse, bir yazıcı yardımı ile, geleneksel kitap gibi, kağıda basılarak da kullanılabilir.
